LA Doesn’t Provide Community on a Silver Platter

Fed Segal sold a graphic shirt twenty years ago or so written in the famous” I [heart] NY” font that said:

“LA Don’t [Heart] You”

And, I chuckled at how true that was. Being born here might make the idea of having a community in Los Angeles be much easier than a transplant, but LA is tough, nonetheless. Whether it is the commuter culture, lack of walkability, or the isolation of working remotely, there is no community on a silver platter here.

That being said, I’m going to say something that will surprise you zero percent. I’m biased, but I’m not wrong.

DEUCE Gym is a magnet for the best people you’ll find in this town.

I stand by that. And, thank goodness, because training and being healthy is hard. It’s a lot easier, however, if you’ve got a boat load of remarkable people around you.

If you find yourself on the search for the best people imaginable, look no further than 110 Lincoln Blvd. Jump in! The water’s warm..
