HOT TIP: Exactly Where to Put Your Tasks

While we don’t know how they built the pyramids, I want to believe that someone made a ‘To Do’ list and crossed things off until the Giza Plateau was eternally adorned with three mega structures.

Don’t underestimate the power of handwriting a list.

There is good science that says our short-term memory is not meant to hold the countless things we rely on it for. Those chronic low level drain on our cognitive ability that occurs when we maintain a large (or small) to do list of undone tasks and nice-to-haves in our head is both inefficient and exhausting.

“Mise en place.”

Chefs often reference this French phrase which means, “everything has its place” as a means to hold order in their kitchens. I believe firmly that our to-do items have a place, too, and it’s written down in a list.
