New Equipment Changes Have Inclusivity in Mind

Frankly, enough is enough. Fitness, in our opinion, is already exclusionary enough. With body shaming and the intimidating vibes that are implicit in a place where people wear minimal clothes and show off how fit they are, we’ve decided to recommit to an inclusive facility.

It’s time to put our money where our mouth is on inclusivity.

I’ve explored gyms in thirteen different countries and continually find that facilities are catering to right handed people almost unequivocally. That’s why we’ve partnered with Rogue Fitness and we’re investing in left handed barbells, kettlebells, and dumbbells for the first time.

While it is a small injustice to left handed people being forced to assume the usage of right handed equipment, we feel that this is a small but meaningful gesture of inclusivity.

Students can expect to find left handed equipment labeled with green tape to signify left hand dominate usage. We hope this sends a message to the fitness community to put its money where its mouth is on creating equality in the community.
