Fitness Trainers: Being Hot Isn’t a Trainable Quality

The world of physical fitness is vast. After all, we all have a body, but humans are notoriously inspirational about how we use those bodies. That’s how you get downhill skiing and marathon running in the same universe as the NFL and ballet.

The human body can be trained to do almost anything.

At DEUCE, we have various programs with various desired outcomes. Our most common, General Physical Preparedness (GPP), has the most broad fitness outcome. In GPP, we’re developing all major fitness qualities:

Strength

Flexibility

Stamina

Cardiovascular Endurance

Speed

Power

Agility

Balance

Coordination

Accuracy

In fact, we use old, tried and true methods (supported by science) to develop these fitness qualities. Except there is one problem:

Being hot isn’t one of them.

And, while one might argue that looking and feeling fitter might make many people more attractive. We’re not selling that. We’re not selling it because it isn’t trainable.

This industry has a problem where professionally hot people sell their hotness as if it has something to do with the physical training they are doing.

Being hot isn’t a coaching strategy. Beware.
