When people say they have “bad knees” it’s impossible for a movement person to not jump into action thinking about hamstrings. That’s because the knee is just a hinge. There’s not much to it. And, in fact, it (like most joints) is pretty vulnerable when there isn’t supporting tissue to serve as armor for it.
That’s where getting strong hamstrings come in.
If folks who identify as “bad knee” people RDLed the house and walked with a sled a day or two each week, they’d mostly soon be bullet proof. Remember, being a stronger human being is being a safer human being.
Think I need to write another article for the shoulder or are you good just picking up what I’m putting down on this whole an untrained-joint-is-a-vulnerable-joint thing?
