Long Roads, Uncertainty, and the Power of Not Knowing

I recently went to the park in Santa Monica where this whole gym journey started 15 years ago. It is only natural to reflect and one question that comes to mind is, “Would I do it all over again?”

Without writing a novel here, this journey has been tough. Frankly, knowing exactly how long and windy the road has been doesn’t help!

What did help in the beginning was naivety.

Not knowing was a superpower, in fact. And, I can say unequivocally that I love DEUCE and what it’s become. Ultimately, that is what matters.

But, let’s not move on too quickly from what I think is the lesson here. I find many folks think too much. I’d argue that trying to masterfully protect yourself from all uncertainty isn’t the safe move it masquerades as. In fact, not having all the answers is often a propellant into journeys and processes that would do you (and the world) a lot of good.

So, go on!
