Weightlifting Skill Sessions to Precede Lift Run Hang Event

We’re eighteen days out from the second annual Lift Run Hang event where we take over historical Muscle Beach! The all-levels fitness experience brought to you by STR/KE MVMENT has three distinct parts:

  1. A Power-Only Weightlifting Meet. Beginners, intermediates, and advanced movers will have three chances to make a power snatch and a power clean & jerk. 
  2. 2-Mile Beach Run. Enjoy the sun and the waves for a friendly job down the boardwalk to the end of the Venice pier and back!
  3. A Beer Garden Social. That’s right! Social fitness is important and the first beer is on us!

In preparation for Event 1, DEUCE students will have many opportunities to train the lifts ahead of time. Not only are we running a weightlifting cycle in General Physical Preparedness (GPP) until event day, we’re hosting a Weightlifting Clinic Saturday Sept. 10th. It’s FREE for DEUCE Students and a small fee for visitors. 

In addition to this time to fine tune your lifts, we’re offering two-per-week small group weightlifting skill sessions Monday and Wednesday at 5:30pm. DEUCE Students can reserve one of just six spaces available on the PushPress member app!
