An Ode to the Tinkerers (Because the Books Come Second)

In a time where books and podcasts are drilling insights into our heads, it’s important to remember that the insights in those books and podcasts came first from action. The tinkerers and experimenters act then the books get written.

The formal for success most underrated today is n=1.

Every strength and conditioning method that is now considered gospel came from people not reading about them in books, but rather by tweaking real training and obtaining real results. Solidifying the method happens later.

I’m saying this, not because everyone needs to be a pioneer, but to encourage the tinkerers inside of us. Being curious, increasing self-awareness, and teaching for a better way for your own needs isn’t a crazy concept. After all, it’s all that has led to our greatest insights as humans.
