Decision Making with a Coin Toss

Creative genius, Rick Rubin, has lots of tricks up his sleeve. The co-founder of Def Jam Records and bonafide industry leading, genre bending music producer has a unique skill for pulling brilliance out of his artists. 

No matter how you slice it, decisions need to get made when you’re making art. Sometimes it’s tough to make those decisions. 

I was surprised to learn that even Rick Rubin will use the coin toss method when he’s in a bind. 

There’s a trick to it, though. 

Rubin says to toss the coin and while it’s in the air to listen to your gut about what side you’re rooting for. He says, that is the choice you should make.
