Playing with the Pendulum of Work, Rest

People in Los Angeles are sitting on their hands manifesting, while everyone in Utah knows how to grind. At least that was the topic of conversation in a recent business meeting and it was incredibly insightful to ponder. Whether there is no truth, some truth, or full truth in that sentiment, I found that both camps, if we can call them that, are suffering.

The grinders could learn something from the woo-woo manifestors and visa versa.

When the pendulum swings too far in one direction (albeit laziness or workaholism), we’re often reminded that the answer likely includes some of both. (::cough cough:: politics).

Many of us who work too hard spin our wheels with the motto, “Don’t just sit there, do something.” When in reality, we might need to realize there’s tactical value in “not just doing something, sit there” at least for a second. Conversely, if your strategy for making things happen is to sit, wait, meditate, and manifest. You may want to heed the words of the great Picasso:

“Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.”
