Evidence Shows Your Life Can Change in an Instant

Things are the way they are until they aren’t. Seems obvious, right? Well, chances are your mind likely understands (and even ruminates) on the way things are, because until things change it doesn’t seem like there’s much reason to think they would. 

I’ll give you a couple of famous examples. 

Shep Gordon is likely the most famous person you’ve never heard of in Hollywood. His career as a renown manager has spanned decades and many iterations that are littered with success. His life changed for the better on a dime. His first day in Los Angeles he stayed at a motel, took a little acid before bed, and heard a disturbance down by the pool. Thinking he was breaking up a violent act, he pulled a young Jimi Hendrix off of a consenting Janis Joplin. Before the end of the night, Hendrix would suggest he manage a new act. That act would be Gordon’s first client and start arguably the most successful management careers in Hollywood history. His first client’s name? Alice Cooper. 

Danny Sugarman wasn’t even fourteen years old when he snuck out of his parents home to join his older friend on a ride out to Sunset Blvd. The two would help a new band load and unload audio equipment and cables into the Whiskey-A-Go-Go. A young Sugarman found a way to carry cables for the next show, too. Eventually he would answer fan mail and before he’d finish high school he’d be the band’s manager. The band? The Doors. 

Both Shep Gordon and Danny Sugarman would have predicted a life not unlike their past on the day things changed forever. They both were angst filled, unsatisfied guys whose lives changed on a dime. If you’re in a rut, you too might just be a moment away from remarkable change in your life!
