Babe Ruth’s Most Cringe Maxim

There’s a famous quote that has always bothered me. It’s not because it isn’t true, either.

It’s just too cringey.

If it were 15% less cringy I’d probably share it more, but I just can’t. Yet, here we are and you bet your bottom dollar that I’m about to share it.

It comes from the immortal Babe Ruth. He’s arguably the most legendary player in baseball history and he once said:

“It’s hard to beat a person who never gives up.”

I can tell you this. One of the only things I feel that I’ve done well that has given me some success is that I generally persist longer than most anyone would. And, that’s tough to beat.

It’s a tough time for Americans in a number of different ways. While it doesn’t seem like much, “staying power” is massively impactful. Persisting is a super power in times like these.

Just quit another day..
