The Fitness Industry’s Achilles Heel

It’s not the fads. It’s not the methodologies. It’s not even the bad marketing. The fitness industry will forever be hamstrung by one fatal flaw. Almost no one in this industry is creating full time, professional, career opportunities for fitness professionals.

Most coaches are non-commital, side hustling, distracted versions of themselves.

And, we’re all suffering from it. The customer gets a worse experience, the fitness  businesses create less value and experience more turn over, and the results are worse across the board.

The single most important thing that fitness industry entrepreneurs can do to make a positive impact on the world is to create salaried positions for high levels of commitment and professionalism. Based on the lack of health and fitness in the general population, nothing less will suffice.
