Bodybuilding 101: It’s Not What You Think

We have extremists to thank for the stereotypes in our lives, don’t we? The extreme cyclists create the archetypal “cyclist” behavior in your mind in the same way the extreme politicos and extreme sports fans create those respective archetypes. 

The bodybuilding community does itself no favors. 

Bodybuilding 101 won’t involve the oiled bodies, weird posing, and egregious drug-induced body modification. Instead, the term “bodybuilding” encapsulates the training that elicits hypertrophy.

Hypertrophy is simply the process of lean tissue growth in the density and/or size of muscle fibers in the body. We’re here to get men and women stronger, more lean, and feeling better.
