The Entrepreneur Who Tells Everyone to Quit

I once had lunch with a respected fitness industry leader. In our conversation, he mentioned that lots of people aspired to pursue a similar path as he in business. He said, “When they ask me if they should try to pursue it, I always tell them ‘No’.” 

His answer surprised me. Naturally, I asked him why.

“Here’s how I see it. If they listen to me, they never would survive the amount of rejection and “No” answers in this business anyway and I just did them a favor. If they don’t listen to me, they obviously would do it whether they asked me or not. Furthermore, the people that make it would need to want it bad enough that my answer didn’t matter anyway.”

This took me aback. And, I like it. 

Chances are everything you really want is beyond more than just a couple negative responses. Keep going!
