One of the biggest punchlines in humanity is the monumental divide between understanding theory and experiencing it. Leadership comes to mind as one of the most classic cases.
There are countless books, courses, and programs to develop leadership. Hell, we have all three of those things. And, I’ll be the first to tell you that it means almost nothing to understand leadership theoretically.
In fact, leadership begins the moment there’s a challenge.
Everything else is just theory and lip service. I taste the vomit in the back of my mouth as I think about the severity of this fact. Hard is hard and if it wasn’t, it’d be something else.
