Consensus: Weightlifting Causes Back Pain

We’ve reached critical mass on the topic. There’s an overwhelming amount of anecdotal data and the conclusion is clear. Lifting weights, especially heavy ones, is linked directly to back pain.

All of the wonders and curiosities we’ve had as to whether or not lifting weights is safe is a slam dunk when you go by the numbers. In fact, the numbers that support the link between lifting weights and back injury only go up when you consider women, pregnant women, older people, children, and anyone other than football players.

The resounding data comes in unanimously from men and women who both have back pain and refuse to lift weights.

Odd.
