A student coach of ours recently asked me the age old question, “Can you teach speed?” Without getting into the controversial answer, I do know one thing. Speed, strength, power, and all things explosive require a mindset. Even an electric NFL athlete doesn’t shine if his mind isn’t ready to be explosive.
For many students at DEUCE Gym, the idea of being strong or even explosive is new. Speed and power, however, are often coveted qualities around here. If you’re in the market of learning to be fast and powerful, you’ll need to plug into the mindset that will give you a chance to do it.
The video above caught my eye because, as you may have seen by now, there’s no doubt that the boys at Auburn know how to be explosive. Just watching it might strike a cord in you. Hopefully by watching these boys’ mannerisms, you’ll learn exactly what I mean when I say, “Being explosive is a mindset.”
