FFOTB Endurance

Training for a 5K, triathlon, or marathon? Want to suck less wind during workouts? Or, do you just enjoy longer time domain sports? We are proud to announce the start of the FFOTB Endurance program. With that comes an announcement of a new coach. Like we’ve said in the past, we are a community-based fitness school and our leadership, then, will always come from within.

Raffy, Jo, Lindsey, and Dana – Crush Cancer 2012

It brings we great joy to introduce to you our newest coach, and leader of FFOTB Endurance, Johanna Hudson. She’s been supplementing her training at the bluffs with us for a little over a year now between her time training at DogTown CrossFit. She will be around class more and more, so look out for her and say hello. I know I am not alone when I say Johanna is in the top five of most bubbly personalities of all time.

Here are some of her words about FFOTB Endurance:

Endurance is one of the 10 physical skills that are integral to the heart of FFOTB’s programming. Like the Bluff’s programming as a whole, the purpose of the Endurance program is not to make you an expert or a specialist, but to compliment your overall performance. While we can work it to prepare you for your first marathon or to help you reach a goal time in your next 10k, the intention of the classes will be to improve your form, cardio, stamina, and speed thus aiding you in rocking out your metcons and keeping fit for life!

Each class will be comprised of warm-up, drills, a running based workout and a cool-down. This class is OUR class, so as the weeks proceed we can continue to adapt based on feedback and the athletic goals of the group as a whole!

PS – coffee and farmers market will always be a welcome post-workout win!

All this starts this Sunday, November 4th, at 9 AM at Ocean and Marguerita. Class will be one hour, and like all of our programs, a class is a class is a class, meaning your FFOTB membership grants you access to Endurance, Women’s Only, and Barbell Club (drop rates also apply).

3, 2, 1.. GO!
