It’s our view that the holidays are often an odd game of ‘one-upmanship’ for running events. When the 5K didn’t cut it, it became a 10K. Now, triathlons have become a holiday tradition. What’s next a holiday 11K? God forbid.. a marathon?
This New Year’s Day we’re inviting you to our first annual half kilometer run/walk event. Five hundred meters is plenty far to ring in the new year, in my opinion. The event will be early century racing themed to honor our brand’s roots in the 1915 Grand Prix.
Want to double up? Come by the gym for a noon workout. The starting gun for the 1/2K goes off kind-of-promptly at 1:30 PM. Coincidentally, it’s exactly 0.5 kilometers from Lincoln and Rose to Oscar’s Cervateca. So, after a grueling 3 block run/walk effort, you can cool down with the DEUCE community at Oscar’s for good food and cold beverages.
Complete three rounds for time of:
100′ OH Walking Lunge (45/25)
15 Box Jumps (30/24)
