Video Analysis

When’s the last time you’ve watched yourself perform a tough movement in the gym? We don’t have mirrors, so I’m talking about watching yourself on film. You don’t need to be Peyton Manning to watch film. In fact, I bet you’d be surprised at how much you’d learn by watching yourself.

Many times our body awareness isn’t advanced enough to feel the intricacies of every part of every movement. And, no matter how hard you try to do something, or even if you feel like you are doing something, it may take seeing what’s really happening to adjust it.

I know you all aren’t afraid to whip out your phone for Facebook and Instagram, so doing some video analysis could very well be in your wheelhouse. I want to challenge you to have a peer or a coach film you in your skill work so you can catch a good look at your movement.

What do you see?
