Make Your Damn Bed

No, you’re right. I am not your dad. But, I am your coach.

People just like you come to me every single day with questions — very big questions. “I want to trim up. How do I get over this plateau?” Or, “I’ve never been able to stick to a program. What can
I do to stay with it?”

This is big stuff.

Even though I may be lucky enough to help some people here and there, I don’t have success with everyone. I often find that many folks with big questions have little problems. The long and short of it is that if you can’t manage the little things, you have no hope for big changes.

When folks show up to do an ‘Intro Session,” for example, without having slept the night before and without having had a meal yet, I wonder how this person will ever be able to accomplish the daunting task of finding their fitness when basic life necessities like eating and sleeping are unmastered.

This is little stuff.

So, you want to get strong? You want to be leaner? Feel better? Perform well?

Make your damn bed.
