With the summer Olympics just weeks away, it’s almost impossible not to feel the buzz in the air. I can’t help but think of the athletes in these last days before “show time.” Every thought about their preparation, mind set, and impending performance is inspiring. I get the chills just thinking about it.
Think of all the members of Team USA walking into their respective gyms each morning. They are hammering out their routine. The days, more or less, have looked very much the same for the past four years. It would be impossible to not recognize their big day which is ever approaching. Imagine the suspense!
These athletes are the tip of the spear in terms of human performance. Few others on the planet are of their caliber. They are the razors edge, yet they prepare diligently.
It’s amazing what is available to us with relentless dedication and confidence. Imagine your life’s work distilled in a moment – 19.32 seconds. Incredible!
