Practice habits. Build a lifestyle. Win the game.

*The Route 56 Challenge: Day 6*

Has logging your points daily become routine yet? Or, are you still consciously making a decision to check in to the website and log them? Some of you may even set an alarm to remind you to log your daily points. Chances are this thing is still so new that it has yet to become routine, and we have yet to even talk about the lifestyle part of the game.

Know that these “repetitions” of focused decisions are creating awareness around lifestyle habits that probably required no thought before. The purpose of the game isn’t to hypnotize you into a robotic life of sugarless, grainless, dairy-less, sober point logging. It is to create awareness and create a framework for “clean living.” How you choose to play the game of life after the challenge over is your choice. Now, however, it is about keeping to the grindstone for 50 more days.

You owe it to yourself. You’ll enjoy what you’ve learned and accomplished along the way– I promise.

Until then, take each day as an opportunity to practice habits that have yet to become routine. When some of these choices creep into your life as a routine, then you’ve made it a lifestyle. And, then you can say you’ve won them game.
