A Movement

Can you feel it? If you joined us tonight at lululemon Santa Monica as we introduced The Route 56 Challenge: Powered by Whole Life Challenge surely you saw it. Functional Fitness on the Bluffs is becoming a movement.

Official hash-tag: #route56challenge

That’s right.. the gym that doesn’t have an address and has the worst marketable name in small business history is becoming a movement. Functional Fitness on the Bluffs. Say that 10 times fast.

We aren’t any real tangible thing. Sure, we have some equipment that we shlep all over town, but not much. Other than the whiteboard, we have a gym out of thin air. Website? Same thing.. out of thin air.

Functional Fitness on the Bluffs is a community of people. It’s a conversation, much like a market place of ideas and experiences. If you were at the meeting tonight, you saw a crowded room exchange hugs, laughs, and meaningful questions. You saw courage manifested in a couple dozen people. Maybe a passerby wouldn’t be able to guess what exactly was going on inside, but they’d know it was something positive. So positive that it’s contagious.

Hell, a woman stayed for the talk after checking out with the lulu cashier and joined our community and the challenge!

We’ve created a monster. A beautiful monster of average people setting out to make themselves exceptional. Whether we like or not, there’s no turning back, and the good news is…

We all care too much to let this be anything but great. Onward!
