Born in Santa Monica, Logan feels right at home coaching at DEUCE Gym. With a background in collegiate (University of San Diego) and professional (San Diego Padres) baseball, Logan is used to high performance, heavy workloads, and accountability.
Luckily, Logan was blessed enough to work with world renowned strength and conditioning coaches, sports psychologists, and nutritionists during his career. It’s during this time that the seeds were sown for the belief system that guides his coaching today.
Forever a “student of the game,” Logan is always looking to strengthen and question his understanding of human movement and nutrition.

Juan Luis Guadarrama
Juan followed his passion and started learning more about fitness and coaching competitive soccer. His style of training and desire to learn more led him to DEUCE Gym to complete the Coach’s Prep program.
Juan is passionate about helping people reach their potential and improve their standard of living. He believes that consistency, an open mindset, and a community of support is they key to making fitness work. When he isn’t training at DEUCE Gym, Juan spends his free time with his wife Flor and his son Lucas.

Emily has been an athlete for more than 20 years with a broad array of sports and disciplines. Her most significant athletic experience was her time on the University of San Diego Women’s Rowing team. The intensity, competition, and accountability of being on a crew is what drew her to Crossfit. This love for Crossfit that stemmed from rowing taught her that It is through pushing yourself past a breaking point that you find just what you are truly capable of both mentally and physically.
With a passion for helping people find joy in themselves and everyday life, Emily is committed to igniting this fire through nutrition, goal setting, and fitness in order to transform people’s lives from the inside out.

Dr. Lindsey Mathews, D.C.
Dr. Mathews is a chiropractor and founder of BIRTHFIT. She specializes in the biomechanics of body and balancing the musculokeletal system. Lindsey has a doctorate of chiropractic. She is also trained in the Webster technique and as a D.O.N.A. doula. Lindsey is also skilled in energy healing, the graston technique, kinesio taping, laser therapy, and specific myofascial therapies. Dr. Lindsey Mathews, D.C., is a Whole9 Life partner. She is also a member of Primal Docs, Paleo Physicians, International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and Holistic Pediatric Alliance.
Lindsey is a Texas native. She received her Bachelors of Science at Texas A&M University before moving to California to further her education. Lindsey completed her doctorate at the Southern California University of Health Sciences.
Through out her life Lindsey has remained active through soccer and competitive cheerleading. When she found CrossFit it was a match made in heaven.
Dr. Lindsey Mathews has treated numerous active people such as Olympic and professional athletes, CrossFit athletes and CrossFit moms, and traveled the world to be on set for demanding stunts in film and television. To say Lindsey knows the body is an understatement. Lindsey understands the body and respects the individuality of each unique person.
Lindsey is head coach of the Women’s Only program at DEUCE Gym. Lindsey also leads DEUCE’s goal-setting program, Make Sh*t Happen. Lindsey’s mission is to empower and educate woman so that they live to their fullest potential. With programs like the Women’s Only, Make Sh*t Happen, and BirthFIT U, Lindsey wants to foster a community of strong women that will live out their dreams in our modern society.

At 32 years old, Chris has been an instructor and a coach since he was 18. He’s taught all types of movement, close to a decade of instructing gymnastics, and over 15 years competing as a professional Bboy, or breakdancer. He’s taught workshops, given lectures, and judged all over the world, gathering insights and experience about movement in peak expression.
Since then, Chris has transitioned into CrossFit and human performance. He’s studied and gathered new information daily, to better enhance the lives of my athletes, and community. Along the way, he’s been a Head Coach of two of the largest gyms in Los Angeles where he created unique programs for both general population students and competitive athletes. Continuing to be a student of the game, Chris his worked under Movement Specialists for gymnastics, gained extensive Endurance knowledge from an engine guru, and acquired an eye for weightlifting from prolific Olympic lifting coaches.
You can’t draw a box around Chris. He develops individual athletes, creates movement, dances, runs, jumps, and lifts heavy weights, but his passion is coaching. Chris has been helping develop athletes & artists in forms of physical expression since he was a kid. Any careful observer can tell it’s what he loves to do and as a result, it’s truly what he’s best at. Chris will tell you, “I think that the ability to express ones self through art, movement, and human performance is a firm step on the road to self discovery. What are we capable of, what is our full potential. Answering the question of what is possible, that’s what drives me as a coach. My job isn’t to make you believe that you can do anything, it is to show you how.”
