It’s a Jungle Out There

Words can be, well, just that… words. I think, though, that if the writer intends for them to have meaning that they often do. You may say I have a habit of preaching corny words, but at least I mean them. Don’t ever forget that. These words were recently shared with me by a friend who meant them. Read on..

Now this is the Law of the Jungle —
as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper,
but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk
the Law runneth forward and back —
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf,
and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

-Rudyard Kipling (from The Jungle Book)

Call them corny, but these words have meaning and it is a jungle out there. Make sure all you wolves embrace your strengths and embrace your pack. For some of us, this is all we’ve got.
