1. What is your fitness background? I have played sports my whole life, so being active has always been important to me.  I have always liked to run and lift weights, but as I have gotten older the desire to lift weights has changed, and my desire to be more flexible and mobile and increase core strength has become more of a priority.  Over the last several years though my consistency in exercise has been all over the map…partly due to chasing after my daughters all the time.  Being a part of FFOTB has given me the consistency that I have been needing.

2. How long have you been training at FFOTB? How does FFOTB compare to other places you’ve trained?  I started FFOTB in September.  In my mind there is no comparison in the training regimen at FFOTB compared to other places.  I have had personal trainers in other gyms before and the efficiency, community, and challenges that are presented through FFOTB are so far superior to anything I have tried before.  I used to love the solitude I would get working out by myself in a gym, but after experiencing FFOTB over the last 3 months, I definitely favor the community and friendly competition more than ever.

3. What has been your most memorable experience so far? The Better than Yesterday Challenge was personally the most satisfying athletic aspect, but every workout is the most memorable because it gives me a 1 hour break from all the other stressors in my life.

4. Favorite Movement: Burpees….bet no one has ever said that.

Heart Throb, Randy Kobata, perfectly executes an "Arch Up."

 5. Least Favorite Movement: Overhead KB squats and after last night: V-ups

5. Favorite memorable FFOTB quote:  “It’s better to have strange things come out of your mouth, than go in it.”

6. What are your short term goals? Long term? My short term goals are to increase strength in my lower back and to become more mobile in the squat position.  My long term goal is to be able to sustain the fitness level that I have accomplished over the last 3 months for years to come.

7. Lastly, what’s an interesting fact we may not know about you?  I am half Japanese…..ha!
