Vanessa Torres: Don’t Call It a Comeback

With a nearly fifteen year career as a professional skateboarder, Vanessa Torres, is a living legend. She’s paved the way in skating for young men and women all around the world. The X Games gold medalist has done everything in skating from lead parts in skate videos to multiple podiums in Street League and the X GamesFullSizeRender 82

While filming the finale on Quit Your Day Job, the first full length all-female skate film in nearly a decade, Vanessa tore her ACL on a smith grind. Tragically, her career, main source of income, and pursuit to 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo took a back seat.

Luckily, we’ve been blessed to have Vanessa here at DEUCE getting stronger and rehabbing her injury. We’d like to formally welcome her to our family. I promise you, she will be a more physical athlete on a skateboard than she ever has.

You can click here to contribute to her modest GoFundMe page. Welcome, Vanessa!
