Specialty Course: Movement & Mobility

The specifically focused specialty courses we offer at DEUCE Gym provide the perfect compliment to the general natural of the GPP program. In that way, we’re excited to announce a new specialty course that has recovery, movement patterns, and increasing functional rang of motion in mind. heather

Led by DEUCE Gym’s own, Heather Wielgos, who is a massage therapist by trade. She has a slew of experience in sports performance under the guise of numerous thought leaders from Dr. Perry Nickelston and Kelly Starrett to Jill Miller.

Movement and mobility are vital elements to keeping your body safe and reaching your physical goals. This class will address improving movement patterns, releasing tension held in soft tissue, and increasing mobility. We will use a combination of tools such as balls, bands and yoga blocks to work out the kinks in your body that may be limiting your performance in the gym and beyond. This is not a yoga class, a stretching class or a workout. It is an education essential to maintaining a fully functional body that will perform when you need it to and recover quickly. We will roll, smash and plow our muscles allowing you to achieve greater range and better movement than you thought possible.

Heather’s experience as a massage therapist, CrossFit trainer, CrossFit Movement and Mobility trainer and Yoga Tune Up® teacher give her a unique perspective on how the human body is supposed to work. Heather’s goals for this class are to educate her class about self-care, human anatomy, and to have you feeling better walking out than you did walking in. This is a one hour drop-in class that is beneficial to all humans. All equipment is provided. Feel free to bring your own yoga mat.

Join us Saturday’s at 9AM to drop-in ($20) to this class to keep your body moving pain free in the right direction. See you there!
