Meet Johnny Intensity

Intensity is one third of what makes our GPP program tick. You don’t have to go far in the jungle that is the fitness industry, however, to find it. Our hope is that we can use (relative) intensity for all the good and none of the bad around here. Screen Shot 2014-11-11 at 11.13.18 AM

Often times one can confuse the blood, sweat, and screaming that comes in bootcamp-syle classes for productive training. You’ve got to wonder that if intensity is everything in a program, whether there is more to be had, right?

The easiest thing to do would be to pack a bunch of students into a room and yell at them and sweat. Intensity for intensity’s sake, if you will. The challenging thing to do would be to act with real purpose and use intensity right alongside quality movement, thought out variance,  and skill.

Our coaches opt for the latter. Don’t be Johnny Intensity and miss the point, folks. There’s a rich experience to be had here.
