The New England Patriots, Berkshire Hathaway, Ford, and, hell, even the Foo Fighters are hiring, too. Sure, economies see ebbs and flows, but everyone is hiring because the rule of thumb in performance is that you can’t argue with results. If you can win more football games than Tom Brady, then you, too, can be the quarterback of the Patriots. Even in this economy, Ford is looking for impact players. Can you melt more faces than the current bassist for the Foo Fighters? Grab your axe, brother. You’re in!
If you’re ever feeling defeatist about a lack of opportunity around you, remember that it pays to be a winner. Since organizations live and die based on their success, you’d be pleased to find that if you can do it better than the current guy, you won’t go jobless.
