St. Monica Athletics Tabs DEUCE for Strength & Conditioning

We’re pleased to officially announce our partnership with St. Monica Catholic High School. The Athletic Department at St. Monica’s is committed to improving the experience of its scholar-athletes with world-class strength and conditioning.

DEUCE was tapped as the school’s newest resource for strength and conditioning across all sports not just for our ability to provide tried and true methodologies and remarkable coaches, but also for our ability to reach athletes effectively digitally when and where in person training is limited.

All student athletes will first complete our 8-week screening course called Athlete Prep. This 8-week course is not just a movement screen, but a developmental prerequisite for young movers to develop and demonstrate the stability and strength required to be coached in a weight room. With an emphasis on body awareness and understanding the foundational postures and positions of a mature athlete, student athletes who complete the course will progress into strength and conditioning under the tutelage of our renown staff.

We are here to destroy the fear and irresponsibility that is rampant in strength and conditioning for young athletes.

DEUCE Athletes in Hermosa Beach is infamously leading the conversation surrounding performance training and getting young athletes to the next level. Coach Ronnie Lopez, Coach Chris Pascual, and Coach Kyle Henmi have demonstrated time and time again that high school, college, and professional athletes that are prepared to succeed physically outperform their peers on the field and on the court. After all, “a stronger athlete is a safer athlete.”

Congratulations to St. Monica on taking an important step in athletic development! Stay tuned as we connect with other local high school programs inquiring about taking the same leap.
