4/10/15 - The Hardest Rep

As you may well know, coaches end up coaching more than just squats and push ups around here. At the end of the day, we’re attempting to manage the entire health and wellness of our athletes. This means we directly or indirectly deal with issues with food, injuries, mechanical limitations, and even motivation.

I’ve yet to see a more critical, more difficult effort for athletes than that of showing up. Stepping foot in the gym is the single hardest effort, and the kicker is that it’s the make or break detail in whether or not someone has an amazing experience at DEUCE or an unsuccessful one.

If I could offer any athlete one piece of advise as I sat across from them during their ‘Intro Session,’ it’d be simple. Show up!
