Make a List, Finish It

Let me be the first to tell you, lists aren’t just for ‘Type A’ go getters. The power of a simple list can, in my experience, be the difference between extraordinary productivity and its underwhelming counterpart.

Today everyone is so damn busy, it’s almost annoying. Ask anyone you haven’t seen in a while (including myself), “How have you been?” I’d fork over 10 bucks if you get an answer other than, “Ah! Crazy busy..”

Yes, I know. It’s a jungle out there. Especially since everything is so “crazy,” think of the low tech, potent power of writing something down. Once you make a list, it’s real. That ink represents things, not just ideas swirling in your head.

What I know (and what you probably know) about our minds is that they’re tricky things. I’ll speak for myself when I say I can come up 1000 ways to dodge the “crazy busy” thoughts in my head. If I make a list, well, that’s a different story.

Today’s workout is a chance to practice this. You’ve got three things on your list. I’ll see you when you’re done.
