Being Open to Evaluation

We say it a bunch, but sometimes it’s important that we slow down a bit to digest what we mean. When we say that we are a ‘fitness school,’ it’s important to understand that no matter what the training day looks like, we are still here to learn. Unlike the age old adage about a duck, if it looks like a test, sounds like a test, and smells like a test… it still might be just an opportunity to learn.

That being said, there’s one, and only one, basic requirement for being a student here. That requirement is the willingness and eagerness to learn. With that, it’s a given that students will be coachable and open to evaluation. If not, and this place is some sort of proving grounds for you, then our coaches won’t be able to do what they are put on this planet to do, which is to teach.

No matter how the workout looks, always take it, at least in part, as an opportunity to learn. See you in class!
