1/6/16 - Play the Whole Life Challenge with Us!

The Whole Life Challenge is an 8-week long game we play with our community both locally and around the world that measures body composition improvements, performance gains, and compliance to a lifestyle game.

You should play. Here’s what it is:

25% – Body Composition Improvement  You’ll take simple measurements on ‘Day 1,’ and retake them on the final day. Detailed body composition tests as well as before and after photos are optional, but available and encouraged.

25% – Performance Improvement: You’ll perform a basic measure of work capacity on ‘Day 1,’ and retest this on the final day. Your training style during the challenge is irrelevant. This isn’t a “CrossFit” challenge. Ballet is a fully acceptable form of movement throughout, for example.

50% – Lifestyle: Each day during the challenge you’ll be enrolled in a lifestyle game. You’ll get points for following the rules and you’ll lose points for breaking them. Rules include minimum levels of sleep, hydration, and quality controls on nutrition. This isn’t prison (or a “Paleo challenge”), it’s just feedback on how you’re living your life. Therefore, playing is possible amidst vacations, birthday parties, attending weddings, and even amongst a natural desire to drink wine at a work function.

To play, you’ll need to join our team. You can do so by clicking here. If you live near DEUCE Gym, you can do many group related activities with us, but your attendance nor your proximity to Los Angeles is required (We often have numerous participants from other continents).

This challenge starts January 16th and is a time to get serious about lifestyle and your health. It’s focused, but fun, and we hope you’ll join us!
